Why the Cardinals will never be good
If you follow the NFL, you know some teams seem built to win while others, they just can’t get it together. The Arizona Cardinals definitely fall into that second group. Decades of bad seasons, playoff letdowns, and questionable decisions have made them one of the league’s most frustrating teams to watch. I’m not a fan, and I don’t root for any team in particular, but even from the outside it’s hard not to notice how much they keep failing.
Honestly, it’s almost comical how often they mess up time and time again. Injuries happen sure, but bad coaching choices, draft misses, and a general lack of consistency have kept the team from ever really competing. Watching them play feels like they’re actively trying to lose. Yet, people still cheer for them, mostly because they’re the team of the state, and it’s easy to support your local team even when they stink.
Even in the current season, the Cardinals can’t seem to break the pattern. Mistakes pile up, and the same frustrating story keeps repeating. For fans, there’s hope, but for anyone paying attention, it’s just another reminder that the Cardinals have been not very good and probably won’t be anytime soon.
Honestly the Cardinals have a lot of positives going for them this year. A lot of young players especially Marvin Harrison. Being 2-1 isn't the worst thing in the world, and the only loss being a last second field goal might make it feel a little bit better of a loss.
ReplyDeleteShawn--Your blog is looking pretty good so far. You have some interesting topics for discussion, and you have some good development. There is room to keep developing and analyzing and connecting to your audience to create significance for them--you feel a bit brief at times. Pretty good visual engagement as well. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI do not know much about football however that is kind of a hot take. This is seemingly applicable to countless sports teams. Not to mention sometimes teams end up winning that were not even that good in the first place. Would it not be the players rather than the team, maybe the coaches suck but besides that I wouldn't count anyone out. People get lucky, some get unlucky.
